I swear my husband is the human definition of "if he wanted to, he would!"
I had a shit of a day - spicy brain being extra spicy - and just being a sad panda coz my favourite humans away at work.
Cooking tea and a knock comes at the door, I absolutely panic, and Kylo goes mental! We are both ready to fight someone! Check the cameras and see someone leaving, peak outside, and see a giant box of roses at my door! 🥲
He had said earlier he was gonna send me flowers, because he knows i panic if we have people rock up unannounced especially when he isn't home, but he was also severely sleep deprived on shift change and frankly wasn't making a whole heap of sense 😅 so I didn't expect him to actually send me anything.
And now I'm sitting here looking at my pretty new roses, smiling like an absolute idiot haha 🥰

For those who have lost a parent and / or grandparent, sometimes our own reflections can become a lasting reminder of who we've lost. It’s taken time and healing, but now, when I look into the mirror, I see the strength and love of both my mother and my nan, and I'm blessed to carry them with me. There was a time, though, when my reflection was a painful reminder of my mum's final moments (ptsd's a bitch). Today, though, I feel blessed that they live on through me.

Disclaimer; Social media is a beautiful half truth, while my little video highlights the moments i want to remember most, don't let it fool you, i left out the bad days, weeks, months. Don't compare yourself to what you see online, we are all on our own journeys and for me i want to focus on the moments that bought me peace and joy which im very thankful for considering globally, let's be honest. It's been a horrific year.
My wish for 2025;
May we be, Brave enough to weather the storms to come.
Wise enough to seek shelter when we need to, or ask for a helping hand.
Kind enough to lend our strength to those who need it. Curious enough to question everything! and hold enough Wonder in our hearts to see the beauty and magic all around us hidden in plain sight.
I'm sure we all know things are not going to get better globally anytime soon. So please be kind to yourself and those around you, and make the most of the little moments of magic throughout your days and please know, if all you did this year was survive, that's one heck of an accomplishment. Keep going, you wonderful little llamas! We got this!

It's that time of year again, 4 years ago to the day I received the call that mum had had another stroke, which was to be her last.
Each year since, on this day, I've posted about how I've been coping and what has transpired since she left and it's somehow become a sort of therapeutic recap to help me both see how far ive come and also a love letter to the void that i hope wherever you are mum, you can read.

So, what happened in 2024? Will and I became God parents to your adopted daughter @kittykhaos91 s baby girl, Persephone. You would adore her mum, and I'm sure, you're watching over her and Kitty. I started a new job, and it's been stressful and full on, but i love the role, and the people I've been lucky enough to meet and work with are incredible. Its also by far one of the most accommodating workplace ive ever been at, my sensory issues are so much more manageable with working from home and when things got too much and started affecting my health i asked for accommodations and they actually listened (i know, miracles never cease😅) allowing me to go part time which has seen the biggest improvement in my mental and physical health. Will and I also finally had our covid delayed honeymoon in New Zealand! It wasn't quite what we originally planned, and we didn't get photos up in the snowy mountains, me in the dress you and Nan got me specifically for that. But the photos we got by the incredible @7to1photography , before you passed hold so much more meaning than any other photos could, because you got to see them and were the happiest I'd seen you in years, showing anybody who would look and beaming only a few weeks before you left us.
I finally got to hobbiton, on international Hobbit Day of all days. I even met and made friends with some wonderful hobbits who danced with me and made the whole night all the more magical. I got super sick immediately after for the rest of the trip, but it was still the most wonderful experience despite that. It's been a year of growth, that's for sure.
I miss you every day, mum. I wish you were still here for me to share all these moments with you.
I hope you're with Nan and Poppa and are happy.
